Two Nakhon Si Thammarat police officers face disciplinary probe for partying with Sek Loso

A police panel has been set up to consider disciplinary actions against two senior police officers of Muang Nakhon Si Thammarat police station after the duo were seen partying with Seksan Sukphimai or Sek Loso after he was granted bail over a shooting incident during a concert held in the southern province last month.

Pol Col Krisana Pattanacharoen, deputy spokesman of the Royal Thai Police, said Tuesday (Jan 9) that the fact-finding committee ruled the two police officers, Pol Col Rangsan Sukkua, the investigative superintendent, and Pol Lt-Col Thirapol Phumchai, the suppression inspector, had behaved improperly for partying with  Sek Loso, a criminal suspect.

The two officers’ actions were also in defiance of the police code of conduct for closely associating with a criminal suspect.

He said that the two officers’ conduct had tarnished the image of the police organization.

Following the result of the fact-finding panel, the Nakhon Si Thammarat police commander has ordered a disciplinary committee to be set up to consider disciplinary actions against the two officers.

Meanwhile, Pol Col Singha Singhadej, superintendent of Khan Na Yao police in Bangkok, is facing disciplinary investigation for being seen in a group photo with Sek Loso.

The police deputy spokesman further said that technology crime suppression police were examining Sek Loso’s Facebook posts to determine any of them are deemed violation against computer crime law.
