A dozen of migrant workers were travelling in a pickup truck on the Phetkasem highway heading for Sirindhorn school while another truck loaded with fishes was heading for Ladprakao on the Jedyod road.
As both vehicles reached the intersection at speed, they crashed head-on scattering the workers and the fishes on the roads.
Two Myanmar workers died at the scene, while 11 others on both vehicles were injured.
Rescue teams later rushed all the injured to nearby hospital.
It was not immediately known the exact cause but a video footage from a CCTV camera showed the signal lights at the intersection flashing red on all directions.
This might be a reason that drivers of both vehicles were unable to put on brakes in time when they reached the intersection at speed.
