Rocker Artiwara Kongmalai or “Toon Bodyslam” started running again today (Dec 6) after taking two days rest on doctor’s advice.
The first leg of today’s run started at 4am from Soi Rang Nam in Phyathai district to Siriraj hospital where hospital personnels have raised 620,000 baht to donate to his charity run.
From Siriaj hospital, he headed for Nonthaburi and Suphan Buri provinces.
So far, he has completed about 1,300 kilometers or more than half of his planned 2,191-km run from Betong in the southern most province of Yala to Mae Sai in the northernmost province of Chiang Rai to raise 700-million-baht fund for 11 state-run hospitals.
As of Dec 5, over 530 million baht has been raised since Toon kicked off his charity run campaign on Nov 1.
His personal doctor Dr Samitada Sungkapo or known as “Dr May” said Toon is now physically fit to begin his Day 36 run.
She said Toon suffered ankles pain after he ran 150 kilometres in two days on Dec 2 and 3 before arriving in Bangkok and was advised to rest two days.
He is now ready to run again, she said.
