Toon bags 849 million baht in donations after completing run in Lampang

Toon Bodyslam has completed his 47th day run in Lampang province, having covered 50 kilometres distance in a single day as donations have soared to 849 million baht.

The rocker started his first-leg run from the house of Dr Diew in Tambon Mai Ngarm toward the first stop at Caltex gas station which is 17 kilometres away. He was due to complete his fourth leg of run at a roadside resting place in Thern district.

Team officials said that the runner had to shorten the first leg of run to just 17 kilometres because of the mountainous terrain.

Despite the mountainous terrain, Toon and his teammates were given moral support throughout their running route with local people showing up to cheer them on.

A handful of celebrities such as models Yossavadi and Ae Hassadeevichit, Udom “Note” Taepanich and Jack Fanchan were on hand to give them extra moral support.

During the run across Ban Tak district of Tak province on Saturday, Toon met with a toddler dressed up like a nurse and her mother who lined up on the roadside with other villagers to make donations.

So far on Sunday, Toon has covered 1,790 kilometre in distance, leaving about 400 kilometres to reach the final destination in Mae Sai district of Chiang Rai.
