The incident happened at Ayodia elephant camp and the girl clawed by the tiger was admitted to Ayutthaya hospital where she received two stitches for the head wound.
According to the camp manager Vinai Charitchuen, the camp has six tigers for outdoor show.
But since yesterday was a holiday, there were lot of visitors to the camp and the tigers were kept inside the cage instead with no show.
But visitors were allowed to see the tigers in the cage.
He said the girl couldn’t see the tigers and her parents then used a chair for her to stand.
She stayed very close to the cage and was then clawed on the head by a tiger.
