Three cops injured in a car-train collision

Three policemen were seriously injured when a pickup truck in which they were travelling was rammed by a freight train as it was crossing a rail track at a railway crossing which has no barricade in Kabin Buri district of Prachin Buri province on Saturday afternoon.

Rescue worker later arrived at the scene in Tambon Ban Na with hand tools and a tow truck. They managed to extract the three policemen who were trapped inside the heavily-damaged truck and rushed them to Kabin Buri district hospital for medical treatment.

The three injured police officers were identified as Pol Lt-Col Roajanporn Kenbuppa, Pol Lt Sompob Tumsua and Pol Cpl Chatri Onkate.

The damaged pickup truck was later removed from the rail track by the tow truck.
