Thailand beat China 3-2 sets 25-22, 22-25, 25-16, 23-25, 15-12 in the top 8 playoff encounter at the 2017 Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship on Sunday (Aug 12) in the Philippines.
Hattaya Bamrungsuk made 19 points for Thailand, while Ajcharaporn Kongyot and Chatchu-On Moksri each had 18 markers.
Skipper Pleumjit Thinkaow and Wilavan Apinyapong, who came off the bench, combined for 22 points in a match that took two hours and three minutes to finish.
Thailand, which defeated Chinese Taipei in the pool stage, currently lead Pool F with a carry over 2-0 win-loss card tied with Japan.
In the next match, Thailand will meet Japan on Monday (Aug 14) at 2pm Thai time.
