Suan Dusit Poll of Suan Dusit University surveyed the opinions of 1,232 people of different walks of life during November 12-14.
The followings are the results of the opinion survey:
On the question about the qualifications of a prime minister, the poll shows 87.65 percent want a prime minister to be honest, ethical, fair, non-partisan and loyal to the Monarchy; 83.94 percent want the prime minister to be smart, resourceful, experienced and visional; 72.09 percent want the prime minister to have leadership and to command the respect of the people and 55.31 percent want the prime minister to be sacrificial, has good personality and dedicated for the good of the country.
On the question whether the prime minister should be an MP or not, the poll shows 36.78 percent say it does not matter whether the prime minister is an MP or not providing that he/she is honest and dedicated for the country; 34.63 percent say it is not necessary for the PM to be an MP if he or she is capable and appropriate; 28.59 percent say it is necessary for the PM to be an MP because he should be a person elected by the people.
63.42 percent say it does not matter whether the PM is an MP or not but chance should be open to capable people to take the rein.
