Six parties register party-list candidates for February 2 election

The Election Commission (EC) this morning went ahead with the registration of the party-list candidates at the Bangkok Youth Center (Thai-Japan) stadium with no protest.

A total of six political parties arrived at the stadium’s Gymnasium  2 Hall to register their party-list candidates with the EC officials. They are Palang Mahachon, Pheu Paendin, Palang Chon, Prachachon Thai, Pattana Kunaparb Cheevit, and Mataphum parties.

People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDR) secretary-general Suthep Thaugsuban  last night called on all its PDRC branches in the provinces to disrupt the constituency election registration tomorrow but through peacefrul means.

He said that it was now become crystal clear that the EC has sided with the corrupted regime to continue holding the registration which go against the will of the majority of the people.
