Sek Loso escorted to Nakhon Si Thammarat to face charges

Controversial rocker Seksan Sukphimai, or Sek Loso, was on Tuesday (Jan 2) escorted from Kan Nayao police station in Bangkok to Nakhon Si Thammarat’s Phrom Khiri district to face charges for shooting into the air at a temple fair last week.

He was handcuffed as he was led to a police van to Phrom Khiri district  to face charges of shooting into the air, and illegally carrying gun in public on Dec 29.

Sek greeted a large group of news journalist “Happy New Year” as he was led out of the detention room at Khan Na Yao police station this morning.

Urine test conducted on Sek after he was arrested by police from his home in Bang Khen district on Dec 31 showed he was positive to drugs.

But Khan Na Yao police said they still have to receive confirmation from the Police General Hospital as Sek claimed that he took sleeping pills which could lead to the positive result.

His lawyer also prepared to place bail for Sek’s release when he is escorted to the provincial court for detention.

At about 5pm, Sek arrived Nakhon Si Thammarat where he met Pol Maj-Gen Wanchai Akepornpich, commander of Nakhon Si Thammarat police before taken to Phrom Khiri police station to acknowledge charges.

Pol Maj-Gen Wanchai said apart from carrying gun in the public and shooting into the air, Sek would face two more charges of insulting police officers and violating computer crime act.
