The Nakhon Ratchasima provincial administration has issued an announcement looking for four “Good Samaritan” individuals who risked their lives to rescue victims from a burning car following a road accident in Si Khieu district on Tuesday.

Governor Wichien Chantharanothai said Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha had followed up the news report about the accident and the rescue of the victims. He added that the prime minister appreciated the bravery of the four individuals and would like to present them with plaques so they will be recognized as model citizens.

The four are Mr Prasit Saraban, a driver of Sanki Quality Product Company in Samut Prakan, Mr Udomdet Prasertchaichokdee, Mrs Jiratchaya Chobking, a village head of Village 4 in Tambon Krisana, Si Khieu district, and Mr Vichit Suebsai, an employee of Korat Auto factory in Si Khieu district.

The road accident occurred on the Friendship highway at 105th kilometer marker when a Toyota Vios jumped over a road island, overturned and crashed into a Honda Civic and caught fire.

A woman and her baby were trapped in the burning Vios, but they were pulled out with the help of the four “Good Samaritan” individuals who happened to be at the scene and rushed to their rescue.
