Mom to bring 13-year-old son to see police for alleged raping a tween girl

The mother of a 13-year-old boy in a secondary school in Udon Thani province will bring her son to see the police today (Nov 10) after he admitted to have sexually assaulted a tween girl two weeks ago.

The mother’s move came after the father of the 12-year-old girl filed a complaint with police that his daughter was raped by a teenager as she was riding a motorcycle home in Muang district in late morning of Oct 29.

The girl told police that a male teenager rode a motorcycle alongside and forced her to follow him.

The teenager forced her into a sugarcane plantation and then raped  her.

She resisted and managed to run away to the road as the teenager was running after. He allegedly threatened her with knife not to tell anyone of the incident.

The boy then left the scene and she was helped by villagers.

Following the complaint, police looked through all CCTV cameras in the vicinities, and questioned people in the areas to find the teenager who, according to the girl, has a short hair cut and wore light blue jacket.

After a week-long investigation, they learned the teenager is a 13-year-old student of a secondary school. The police are seeking a court’s warrant to arrest the teenager.

According to the teenager’s mom, her son admitted to raping the tween girl.
