Mobile cabinet postponed

The cabinet today decided to postpone indefinitely the next mobile cabinet meeting earlier scheduled on Thursday and Friday.

Government deputy spokesman Pakdiharn Himathongkham said that the deferment was necessary so that members of the cabinet would be able to clarify in the House about the 2.2 trillion baht loan bill for infrastructure development projects which is due to be debated on the same period.

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra insisted that the government had carefully considered the loan bill which she said was necessary for the development of the country.

She maintained that the huge loan, 2.2 trillion baht, would not add more burden on the public debts and her government has always been aware of the need for fiscal discipline.
