A mobile cabinet meeting will be held on Nov 28 in Songkhla province, assistant government spokeswoman Col Taksada Sangkhachan said after a cabinet meeting on Tuesday (Nov 21).
Col Taksada said Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, who is also chairman of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), and other members of the cabinet will leave for Pattani province on Nov 27.
In Pattani, he will preside over the opening of a central livestock market in Nong Chik district before proceeding to visit a palm oil processing plant.
During the lunch time, Gen Prayut will chair a security meeting at the 15th Infantry Division headquarters before meeting with local leaders from southern border provinces.
On the evening of Nov 27, the prime minister will chair a meeting on economic and social development in southern border provinces at the BP Samila Beach Hotel and Resort in Muang district of Songkhla.
On Nov 28, the mobile cabinet meeting will be held at the Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya in Songkhla’s Muang district. After the cabinet meeting, Gen Prayut will meet with students and people at the university’s auditorium.
Since Dec 5 is a holiday, the cabinet meeting will be moved up to Dec 4, said the spokeswoman.
