Mizuno Corporation, a Japanese giant sports equipment and sportswear based in Osaka, today (Dec 1) signed deal with Thai football idol Chanathip Songkrasin or “Messi Jay” to be its brand ambassador for 2018.
The deal wss signed in Singapore, according to a statement released on Mizuno Facebook.
Chanathip will start wearing Mizuno outfits and footwears next year under its Brand Ambassador 2018 programme.
But he will appear for the first time wearing Mizuno soccer shoes in the last J-League match tomorrow (Dec 2) when Consadole Sapporo will play Sagan Tosu.
“We are excited to welcome Chanathip to our family” said president of Mizuno Singapore Kiyoshi Tatani after the deal.
He praised the Thai international for his strong determination to be a winner in the game and enthusiasm to achieve both inside and outside the pitch.
“This makes Chanathip a new valuable member of the Mizuno family,” he said.
Chanatip said it was an honour to become part of Mizuno family.
“Can’t wait to create my new history with them,” Chanathip said.
