Military junta advises all justice systems to be fair, impartial

The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) today issued an announcement urging the country's justice systems to uphold rule of laws, fairness and impartiality in handling all legal cases.

In Announcement No 63, NCPO chief Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha requested all courts, independent government organisations, and Royal Thai Police to uphold rule of law, fairness and impartiality, and avoid making conflicts and rifts in the societies.

He stressed that the NCPO has a clear policy on justice system which is to ensure that the people are fairly, impartially and equally treated by laws at all levels of the justice systems which include courts, National Anti-Corruption Commission, Office of Attorney-General, Royal Thai Police, and  Department of Special Investigation.

They must perform their duties justly and honestly in handling cases with no discrimination that could lead to public misunderstanding, and widen more rifts in the societies.
