The gathering caused heavy traffic jams on this busy road since more people coming out to join the rally. Protesters vowed to hold a public forum in front of the PTT head-office until 6.00 p.m.
But by late this afternoon, no PTT executives would come out to accept their call. Energy Minister Pongsak Raktapongpaisarl has earlier rejected their call to attend the forum. A meeting of the Energy Police Committee of which he is chairman scheduled meeting at 11.30 p.m. to discuss energy matters was also put off.
Protesters also prepared papers for the people to sign in the list to support their earlier call for the removal of energy minister and relevant senior energy officials on their roles in allowing the gas price increase.
So far they reported more than 10,000 people have signed on the list.
