Kamronwit vows to stay on until his retirement

Former metropolitan police commissioner Pol Lt-Gen Kamronwit Thoopkrachang said today that he would carry on with his job until his mandatory retirement.

The ex-commissioner this morning reported himself to Pol Gen  Watcharapol Prasarnratchakit, acting national police chief.

Pol Lt-Gen Kamronwit, commissioners of the First, Second, Fourth, Fifth and Seventh regional police bureaus, Immigration and Special Branch police have all been transferred to work at the Police Operations Centre by an order of the National Council for Peace and Order.

Also removed from their posts by the NCPO are Pol Gen Adul Saengsingkaew, the national police chief; Department of Special Investigation chief Tarit Pengdit and defence permanent secretary General Nipat Thonglek.
