Hundreds of thousands of Songkran revellers head back to work in Bangkok on buses today

Hundreds of thousands of Songkran revellers are expected to return to Bangkok on buses today after the long holiday.

The Transport Company’s deputy managing director Nopparat Karunyavanich said he expected more than 170,000 revellers to arrive today at three bus terminals, Chatuchak, Ekkamai, and Borommaratchonnani.

Only at Morchit bus terminal, 80,000 are to arrive today from 04.00 am – 08.00 pm.

He said the Transport Company has coordinated with the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority​ and taxi cooperatives to arrange enough buses and taxis to the three bus terminals to facilitate the arriving passengers during 04.00 am-08.00 am, and 4.00 pm-8.00 pm.
