Forest officials seize four illegally built resorts and one house in national park

Four resorts and one house worth altogether about 100 million baht around the reservoir in Srinagarind dam national park in Kanchanaburi province were seized today by forest and national park officials.

The raid and seizure of the four resorts and one big house were conducted by about 100 officials led by Mr Wattana Mapook, head of the natural resources conservation and protection section, after it was confirmed by mapping that the premises have encroached on the land of Srinagarind dam national park.

The four resorts are ARK Resort belonging to Mrs Alisa Chailert, Suan Pit Tawan resort owned by Mr Sompob Meechuvech, Victory Water Hill resort owned by Mr Tharathorn Chaipit and KPS resort belonging to  Mr Witthaya Taemee.  The house is reportedly owned by Pa Thep, a wellknown amulet trader.

The seizure of the resorts and a house in Srinagarind dam national park is a part of the ongoing campaign ordered by the National Council for Peace and Order to reclaim encroached land in forest reserves and national parks.
