Rescue workers in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong on Monday found the body of a Belarusian tourist who had apparently drowned while swimming at a waterfall the previous night, Thanh Nien News reported.

The body of Banradenka Viktar, 26, was recovered at 10:30am from a lake at the foot of the Pongour Falls and is going to be transferred to Belarus’ representative office in Ho Chi Minh City.

Nearly 100 rescuers were deployed for the search mission in the lake of around 400 square meters. Some parts of the lake are six meters deep.

Witnesses told police that Viktar drowned minutes after he jumped into the lake at around 3pm Sunday for a swim.

Pongour is 50 kilometers from Da Lat, where authorities are still investigating the deaths of three British tourists who were exploring the Datanla Falls on Friday.
