Two soldiers and a family of three were injured after southern insurgents detonated a roadside bomb while the soldiers were patrolling on the road in Kapor district of Pattani province this morning.

The two soldiers were admitted to Kapor district hospital.

Security personnel later sealed the road off traffic as explosive ordnance disposal police were working to clear the area as more bomb might be hidden to hurt authorities.

The family of three who comprised mother, a 7-year-old boy and 12-year-old girl, was on the way to Karubi school on a motorcycle when the bomb exploded.

They were admitted to Karubi hospital in Pattani for treatment.
