Chao Mai marine national park closed

The famous Chao Mai marine national park in Sikao district of Tranng province remained close to visitors until October 1, according to its park chief Dr Manoj Wongsureerat.

He said that the marine park has been closed since May during the monsoon season for safety reason. The Chao Mai marine national park  covers several islets but the affected islets are  Koh Muk, Ko Chuek and Ko Waen.

He said the closure of Koh Muk , Koh Chuek and Koh Waen is a normal practice of the park  every year during the monsoon season for the safety of the tourists.

Boat and tourism operators are not allowed to bring their clients to these islets, particularly Morakot cave as it would be dangerous for tourists.
