Britain’s double Olympic champion Mo Farah gave moral support to Artivara Kongmalai, also known as Toon Bodyslam, and urged him to keep running.
The distance champion wrote in his Instagram sent to Toon which reads: “Keep running @artiwara. Leave all your records behind. The next step is a new start. #breathrough #break2191K”. He also posed a pair of running shoes with wordings written in one of the shoes “To Toon Keep on running.”
Toon wrote back in his IG, thanking the British champion for his inspiring remark.
Mo Farah was three-time champion in the 5000-metre and 10,000-metre distance runs and won four Olympic golds in the two events in 2012 and 2016.
The wellknown rocker on Sunday also received a 16-million baht cheque from Nakhon Si Thammarat governor Chamroen Tippayapongthada after he arrived in the province from Songkhla province.
The cheque was donated by Mr Jimmy Chawala, a garment business in Nakhon Si Thammarat, and was issued for Phra Mongkut hospital in Bangkok.
Mr Jimmy made the donation on behalf of 1.6 million people of Nakhon Si Thammarat. So far, Toon’s One Step Each marathon run from the southernmost district of Betong to the northernmost district of Mae Sai covering a distance of more than 2,000 kms has raised 183 million baht.
The rocker told his well wishers who showed up in hundreds at Wat Mahathat to welcome him that he would like his supporters to change their cheers “Toon, Suu Suu (Toon Fight, Fight) to “Khun More (doctor) Suu Suu” and “Khun Payabaan (nurse) Suu Suu) to give moral support to doctors and nurses.
