Banharn to discuss reform assembly with Abhisit

Chartthaipattana Party chief adviser Banharn Silpa-archa plans to discuss the political reform assembly with Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva on September 16.

Mr. Banharn has also planned to discuss the government’s political reform assembly with former Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai on September 19 after his meeting with the opposition leader.

Mr Banharn’s invitation was recently turned down by former People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) leaders Sondhi Limthongkul and Chamlong Srimuang while it was accepted by Prawase Wasi, an influential social critic.

After meeting with Democrat chief adviser on Thursday, Mr. Banharn is scheduled to meet Deputy Prime Minister Phongthep Thepkanjana to discuss work plans of three committees and important issues such as law enforcement, inequality, which will be presented at the official reform assembly meeting in mid-October.
