Over 8,700 homes join “Leave Home with Police” program

The Royal Thai Police says over 8,790 home owners have registered with Leave Home With Police program as they went on a long New Year holidays.

Deputy spokesman of the RTP Pol Col Krissana Pattanacharoen said the numbers of homes and business premises joining the scheme this year is higher than last year’s 2,626 private homes, or 42.6 % higher.

He said this not only showed that home and business owners have higher interest and confidence in leaving their homes under police guard while they were away from homes for many days, but also reflected the cooperation between the people and the police to help fighting criminal activities.

The scheme was launched from Dec 25 to Jan 3 nationwide.
