Soccer superstars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are heading home, along with their teams, Portugal and Argentina, after their defeats in the 2018 World Cup last night.
It was Edinson Cavani who emerged the superstar of the game by scoring two goals that brought Uruguay into the quarter finals and sent Portugal crashing out of the tournament.
Uruguay took an early lead in the 7th minute when Cavani headed in a pass from Luis Suarez. Pepe equalized for Portugal in the 55th minute. But with about half an hour to go, Cavani curled in the winning goal for Uruguay. In another match earlier, France sent Argentina home with a 4-3 score.
